Heckscher State Park

Per State Park policy, there is a $8 per vehicle fee to enter the park. Traffic directors and signage will be on site to guide you. *There is no charge to park for those vehicles with a valid Empire Passport*

If you arriving via a ride share like Uber or Lyft, please use any lane to enter the park. Have a your driver identify themselves as a rideshare. There will be no charge for these rideshare programs to enter the park.

If you are getting dropped of by a family member or friend, the $8 per vehicle fee will apply.

Limos/Buses: If you are arriving by private limo or bus with a TLC license, they will enter (without paying parking fee) through any of the open toll booths at park entrance. They are NOT permitted to remain on-site (park and wait) for their customer pick up. For groups arriving by private limo/bus please know that anyone arriving intoxicated will be denied entrance and no refund given.

From Points West:

• Take Southern State Parkway eastbound
• As exit 41A approaches, keep right to stay on Southern State Parkway
• Stay on Southern State Parkway and continue onto Heckscher State Parkway
• Proceed past toll booth
• At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit and follow road until first turnaround
• Make a sharp left at first turnaround
• Turn right onto first road, Forty Foot Road
• Head straight and make first left to Field 2 Parking

From Points East:

• Take Sunrise Highway (NY-27) westbound
• Stay on Sunrise Highway and take exit 46
• Keep right to take exit 46 toward New York/Heckscher Park
• Continue on Sunrise Highway North Service Road
• Use the right lane to take the ramp to New York 27A (also Heckscher State Parkway/Southern State Parkway southbound)
• Merge onto Heckscher State Parkway and continue southbound
• Proceed past toll booth
• At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit and follow road until first turnaround
• Make a sharp left at first turnaround
• Turn right onto first road, Forty Foot Road
• Head straight and make first left to Field 2 Parking

From Points North:

• Take Sunken Meadow Parkway southbound toward Bay Shore
• Stay on Sunken Meadow Parkway which will continue to Sagtikos Parkway
• Use left lane to take exit S4E for Southern State Parkway eastbound toward East Islip
• Merge onto Southern State Parkway
• Stay on Southern State Parkway and continue onto Heckscher State Parkway
• Proceed past toll booth
• At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit and follow road until first turnaround
• Make a sharp left at first turnaround
• Turn right onto first road, Forty Foot Road
• Head straight and make first left to Field 2 Parking
