WHEN IS THE EVENT?

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO GET INTO THE FESTIVAL?

No one under the age of 21 will be allowed entrance in the festival! This includes designated drivers who must also be at least 21 years of age. NO children, toddlers, infants, strollers, or pets are permitted. No one will be admitted without a valid photo ID (no exceptions). Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver’s license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered.

WHERE DOES THE EVENT TAKE PLACE?

The event will be taking place on Field 2 at Heckscher State Park, located at 1 Heckscher State Parkway, East Islip, NY 11730.

IS THE EVENT INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The festival is an outdoor event held under tents and will take place rain or shine (no refunds).

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

The event is rain or shine. Please plan accordingly for the weather. If there is an emergency situation, please check the event website, Facebook page and email.

WHAT DOES GENERAL ADMISSION INCLUDE?

Each paid general admission includes a souvenir tasting cup and the freedom to enjoy samples from any participating exhibitor. All attendees also have the opportunity to enter the Donut Eating Contest, play games, and access to the food trucks and participating exhibitors.

WHAT DOES VIP ADMISSION INCLUDE?

VIP admission includes everything GA ticket holders get but a glass souvenir tasting cup instead of plastic. Plus, VIP attendees also receive an additional hour of sampling from 12:30pm-1:30pm, private seating, exclusive VIP restrooms, exclusive VIP snacks, and access to special tastings available only to VIPs with bartender service.

WHAT IS THE ENTRANCE FEE FOR DESIGNATED DRIVERS?

A GA designated driver ticket is $12. A VIP designated driver ticket is $15. VIP designated drivers will have access to VIP perks in the VIP area. All designated drivers receive bottled water. However, designated drivers are not permitted to sample any alcoholic beverages at the festival and do not receive a cup. Any designated driver who is seen drinking at the festival will be escorted out immediately. Designated drivers must be 21+ and present valid photo ID for entry.

WILL FOOD BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?

Yes, food is available for purchase. It is not included in the price of admission.

ARE CHILDREN OR PETS PERMITTED TO ATTEND?

NO children, toddlers, infants, strollers or pets (unless they are service dogs with accredited tags/paperwork) are permitted into the festival.

IS SMOKING PERMITTED AT THE FESTIVAL?

Smoking will not be permitted under the tents, this includes vape pens and e-cigs.

CAN I BRING BLANKETS OR LAWN CHAIRS TO THE FESTIVAL?

Yes, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted in the festival area.

CAN I BRING OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGE TO THE FESTIVAL?

No outside food or beverages will be permitted.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE? IS THERE A FEE TO PARK?

Yes, there is parking but there is a fee of $8 per vehicle to enter the park. A park entry fee is the same as a parking fee. This fee is collected by the park directly between 8am-­4pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 9/12­-10/12. There is no charge to park for those vehicles with an Empire State Pass. If you are arriving via taxi, Uber, Lyft or another rideshare company there is no fee to enter the park ­but the driver must identify themselves as such at the toll booths and adhere to signs for drop-­off and pick­-up locations.

IS THERE BUS TRANSPORTATION TO THE EVENT?

Unfortunately, there are no buses scheduled for this event.

DO DESIGNATED DRIVERS NEED TO BE 21?

YES. No one under 21 will be admitted into the festival. Designated drivers, like everyone else, must show valid photo ID before being admitted into the festival.

I BOUGHT A TICKET AND NOW I CAN'T FIND IT/CAN'T PRINT IT, WHAT DO I DO?

FOR TICKET HOLDERS ONLY: If you purchased your tickets on the event website and are in need of customer service regarding your ticket purchase, please visit eventbrite.com/support/contact-us for assistance.

IF GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS DO NOT ALLOW LARGE GATHERINGS, AND THE EVENT IS RESCHEDULED/CANCELLED, WILL I GET A REFUND?

Our ticket policy is all sales final, no refunds or exchanges. However, in unprecedented situations such as this, your ticket purchase would be rolled-over to the rescheduled date of the event or a credit would be provided for use on a future Starfish Junction event.

IS THE EVENT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, there is also a special handicapped parking area, however, the venue does not provide wheelchairs or walkers. Please remember the event takes place on grass though and may be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair or walker.

CAN I BRING A BAG?

Yes, but bags are subject to search by security. No weapons of any kind. No outside food and beverage.

WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED?

Starfish Junction Productions is dedicated to the safety and security of ALL attendees, exhibitors, staffers, and guests. Please use common sense and remember that what seems harmless to you may appear like a threat to someone else. All attendees must adhere to show rules, are subject to search upon entering the event, and are prohibited from bringing in the following items:

· outside alcohol, glass bottles, cans, outside food/beverages, metal water bottles
· weapons (i.e. knives, pepper spray, stun-guns, any concealed weapons, firearms, etc.), illegal drugs, chemicals, fireworks, smoke bombs
· unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc.

Event management reserves the right to handle each occurrence on a case by case basis. Depending on the item, the guest may either be asked to remove the item from the facility or dispose of the item, or may be ejected from the facility.

CAN I TAKE UBER/LYFT TO AND FROM THE EVENT?

Yes. Rideshare companies such as Lyft/Uber do not need to pay the park entry fee to get in (so long they can identify themselves as on a ride) but must adhere to signs directing people to the drop-off and pick-up locations.

***With limited cell service at the park, we strongly encourage all attendees to arrange their rides home before coming to the festival. Schedule your rideshares in advance or let your rides know when you want to be picked up.***

 

CAN I LEAVE MY CAR OVERNIGHT?

No. Cars cannot be left overnight. If cars are left, they may be towed at the owner's expense.

WHAT TAXI COMPANIES SERVICE THIS AREA?

The closest taxi company to this area is Colonial Transportation which can be reached at 888-451-9511.

ARE GROUP TICKETS AVAILABLE?

Yes, groups of 10 or more persons can buy discounted tickets together. Please see the ticket page for additional information.

IS THERE A SENIOR OR MILITARY DISCOUNT ON TICKETS?

Yes, seniors (over 55 in age), active military and veterans can purchase a ticket to the event at a discounted rate. Please see the ticket page for additional information.

ARE PHOTOS TAKEN AT THIS EVENT?

Yes, look out for our event photographer at the event and strike a pose. Check back here, at the event website, and/or on the event's Facebook page for photos after the event to see if you are included in the event photo album. Some photos of attendees may be used for promotional purposes; as a ticketholder of the event, you grant us permission to do so and for your likeness to be used.
